Honey Cinnamon Roll-Ups

Ingredients

Roll-Ups

  • 2 cups ground walnuts, toasted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 12 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Honey Syrup

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Place 1 sheet of phyllo dough on a 15x12-in. piece of waxed paper and brush with melted butter. Place a second phyllo sheet on top and brush with butter again. Keep remaining phyllo covered with a damp towel to prevent it from drying out.
  3. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the walnut mixture over the buttered phyllo. Using the waxed paper, roll up tightly jelly-roll style starting from a long side, removing the paper as you roll. Slice each roll into 4 smaller rolls and transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish.
  4. Repeat with remaining phyllo dough and walnut mixture, using 1/4 cup of filling per double sheet.
  5. Bake until light golden brown, 14–16 minutes. Remove from oven and cool in the dish on a wire rack.
  6. While rolls cool, combine all syrup ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes.
  7. Drizzle warm syrup over the cooled rolls and sprinkle with any remaining walnut mixture. Serve and enjoy.

Honey-Mustard Glazed Salmon

🔥 Broil 3–4 in. from heat

Ingredients

  • 10 salmon fillets (5 oz each)
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Place fillets skin side down on a greased baking sheet. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, Dijon mustard, honey, and salt. Spoon the glaze evenly over each fillet.
  2. Broil 3–4 inches from the heat until the fish just begins to flake easily with a fork, 8–12 minutes. Serve immediately.
